I want. – A poem by Leighton Paul Venard

Listening to the kid’s speech development can be quite amusing.  Sometimes they have a thought in their heads that they just can’t get out. They end up sounding like a broken record and you find yourself waiting it out with a grin on your face.  This happened last night and it reminded me of a something that Shel Silverstein would have composed.

I want – by Leighton Paul Venard

I want.
I want.
I want.
I want.
I want.
I want.
I want.
I want.
I want.
I want.
I want.
I want.
I want.
I want.
I want chocolate milk.
