Leighton is on the go and has trouble on his mind. If he sees it, he wants it. We are on constant alert for what may be laying in his reach, whether it is the dog’s bowls, your coffee cup, or a little piece of paper on the floor that may need a taste test. All this is extra challenging with Molly leaving toys on the floor, regularly coloring with crayons, pens, or pencils, and leaving a book or two out for him to gum to death if there is the opportunity.
He is getting faster and he regularly follows us through the house only a moment behind. Exploring the house is great fun as is chasing after the dogs or his sister. We have to be aware of where we step at all times as he may be underfoot, although we usually know he is there by the rhythmic hand slapping of his crawling.
